This weekend (23 & 24 September) a living-history rendezvous will take place in the small town of Mantorville, Minnesota.
Mantorville was a 'far west' outpost founded while Minnesota was still a territory. They remember their history and heritage through several historical events every year. The Zumbro Bend Rendezvous is a living history demonstration from the 18th and early 19th century. Primarily woodsman, fur trappers, and colonial frontiersman, the event is family friendly - hosting schools throughout the week and open to the public on the weekend.
The weekend has multiple learning events for all and is ensure to engulf the curious historian or anyone looking to learn more about their country.
If you watch carefully, you may even see a Standing For Liberty colonial yelling about the "BLOODY BUTCHERY of April 19th, 1775".
